Cosco Busan - 15 Years On

Today marks 15 years from when the container vessel, M/V Cosco Busan, allided with the San Francisco Bay bridge, setting into motion both a massive clean-up and wildlife effort, but also leading to transformative prevention actions both in California as well as the US.

To keep this blog post fairly short, I encourage you to explore our previous posts recognizing the 10-year and 5-year anniversaries of this event if you have not yet read them. In them, the impacts to the environment, as well as the tireless dedication of the hundreds of staff and volunteers from our numerous Member Organizations, were highlighted.
